These works were completed in late 2016 and early 2017 for a customer in Hangleton, Brighton.
The existing garden was a struggle for her. She needed all year round access and she knew standing/walking was difficult for her at times.
We reused the upper terrace but placed a stock brick edge surrond
Raised beds were created with flair
We had to grade out all to creat the main level with easy to maintain borders
Protection by sacking was needed as frosts were the order of the day!
Main area taking shape
Handrails to allow mobility on difficult days to hang the washing!
Side area taking shape
Paving being laid , steps as necessary. Drainage grids to remove the surface water
We matched up to the old levels
Path surround to give all round access on one level if needed
Yes we try and keep tidy as we work, but we need to lay concrete
All paving is laid in sand & cement over a concrete sub base
Our dumper was very useful carting all the materials round. We used this side as our working area.
Right side now completed with the washing line accesible and compost bins near the back door.
Safe and level
Lawns laid
Safe, accesible and level
Steps are simple and available if required
Paths all laid in Raj mixed sized flagstones
Gentle slopes to the lawn
Main patio area laid
Easy level access to the main lawn if required
Side path to the front also put to Raj
Water butt just about to be plumbed in, again easily accessible
Peter having swept down was waving goodbye to the garden!
